Wednesday PM Men’s League

Results coming after June 4

  • 5 p.m. tee time
  • 12 rounds of play, June 3 through August 20
  • Open to members and daily rate players
  • 3 points available per match
  • 2 Man Best Ball: 2 two-man teams playing match play. Each player plays his own ball into the hole, and the best individual net score of each team competes for winning of the hole. 1 point for a win; 1/2 point for a tie.
  • Individual Match: Each team member is also playing a match against one player from the opposing team. 1 point for a win; 1/2 point for a tie.
  • Subs are allowed if a player is not available
  • Play is from the white tees
  • If a player’s handicap plus age totals 85 or higher, that player may move up to the green tees
  • If the match ends before hole No. 8, you may play hole No. 8 for a chance at the Closest to the Pin prize
  • Preferred lies – you may roll the ball over in the fairway
  • Entry fee – $80 per person
  • Non-members pay $20 greens fees
  • All prizes are for Pro Shop credit
  • GHIN (or equivalent) handicaps
  • Awards dinner for all leagues on Wednesday, August 20

Each week, the Wawenock Pro Shop sets the draw, carefully rotating opponents to ensure balanced matchups and a variety of competition. For the shotgun start, they assign each team to a tee, coordinating the logistics so play begins promptly and evenly across the course.

Before players tee off, the Pro Shop provides scorecards marked with appropriate stroke holes based on each player’s handicap. Once the matches wrap up, they document results, update standings, and track season-long progress for all teams.

Beyond the weekly grind, the Pro Shop also maintains the official league roster, including names and contact information, and oversees the distribution of weekly and year-end prizes.

When rules questions arise or a match dispute needs resolution, the Pro Shop serves as the final authority. Their decisions ensure consistency and uphold the spirit of the game—keeping league play enjoyable and fair for everyone.
