Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek, peers and contemporaries of Donald Ross, are considered by many to be two of the great course designers of the Golden Era of golf course development in America. Not ones for self-promotion, their energies were devoted to satisfying their clients by producing great golf links.
Their offices in Boston, New York, and St. Petersburg drew up courses in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusets, Vermont, New Hamshire, and Maine. Here in the Pine Tree State, we are fortunate to have so many of their superb layouts in play and accessible. We encourage you to make a trip down east to sample some of these gems.
