As we enter our 100th season, we are proud to introduce an exciting new chapter for Wawenock Golf Club with the introduction of the 1926 Pub & Grille.

Before sharing more, we want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated in our Name the Restaurant contest. The response from our membership was outstanding and a true reflection of the pride and passion that defines Wawenock. We are also pleased to congratulate Ed Marencik and Peter Bass for their winning submissions—each will receive a gift certificate for use in the restaurant.

This new dining experience reflects a meaningful step forward for the Club. For the first time, Wawenock will manage its restaurant operations in-house, allowing us to better control costs, ensure consistency, and deliver a dining experience that meets the expectations of our members and guests all season long.

The 1926 Pub & Grille will be led by Anita Kirkpatrick, who will oversee the day-to-day culinary and hospitality experience, alongside General Manager Chris Lincoln, who will guide the overall operation. Together, they bring a shared commitment to quality, service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that complements everything Wawenock represents.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week throughout the season, offering reliable, consistent options whether you are finishing a round, meeting friends, or simply enjoying time at the club. The menu is available on the restaurant’s page on our website, and additional details, including operating hours and opening date, will be shared soon.

This milestone arrives during a truly special year. As Wawenock celebrates its centennial season, members can look forward to a full calendar of events, including social scrambles, leagues, tournaments, and a 100th anniversary celebration on August 1 and 2. The introduction of the 1926 Pub & Grille is just one of many enhancements designed to make this season unforgettable.

We are excited for what lies ahead and look forward to welcoming you to the 1926 Pub & Grille very soon.
