Open
Fairways

Opening Doors.
Building Character.
Strengthening Community.

Established during Wawenock Golf Club’s Centennial Year as an investment in the club, the game, and our community’s next 100 years.

- One Program, Two Ways To Open The Game.

Open Fairways

Open Fairways brings Wawenock's youth-development and financial-access efforts together under one
mission: to expand opportunity through golf while helping participants grow as players, teammates, and
community members.

WAWENOCK
JUNIORS

Building Better Golfers -
And Better People.

A focused development program for young golfers who are serious about improving. Instruction is paired with expectations for honesty, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and knowledge of the Rules of Golf.

  • Develop golf skills and course management
  • Prepare players for school and competitive golf
  • Teach rules, etiquette, and honest scoring
  • Build confidence, leadership, and accountability

COMMUNITY
ACCESS

Removing Financial Barriers.

Wawenock already provides free memberships to youth age 15 and under. Community Access extends that commitment by helping applicants over 15 with membership costs and assisting young golfers with equipment and participation expenses.

  • Membership assistance for applicants over 15
  • Golf equipment assistance for youth
  • Wawenock Juniors participation support
  • Other Club-approved golf opportunities

GOLF LESSONS
THAT LAST A LIFETIME

Golf asks players to be honest when no one is watching, responsible for their own decisions, respectful of competitors, and resilient after a difficult shot. Open Fairways uses those lessons to help build capable golfers and strong community members.

HONESTY

Do the right thing - even when no one is watching.

PERSEVERANCE

Learn from setbacks and keep working.

RESPONSIBILITY

Be prepared, accountable, and dependable.

HONESTY

For the game, the course, teammates, staff, and competitors.

SPORTSMANSHIP

Compete hard and carry yourself well.

LEADERSHIP

Use your example to strengthen the people around you.
